In May 2007, Venerdi Finance arranged a syndicate of private lenders to provide $7.5M in mezzanine finance for a commercial strata property development. This debt was to be repaid in December 2009 however a deficiency in the sales contracts allowed all on the plan purchasers to rescind their contract. The Borrowers were unable to resell the commercial strata and the mezzanine loan was in default.

Venerdi Finance was engaged by the mezzanine syndicate in October 2009 to act on their behalf and work with Clayton Utz to litigate for damages from the original drafters of the pre-sale contracts and parties that had verified their enforceability. The litigation was mediated in May 2012 and resulted in a successful outcome for the syndicate.
